My fourth/fifth grade guided reading read, "Sea Turtles in Danger." This book discusses how Sea Turtles are on the verge of extinction. The students made Haiku poems about what they learned from this book. Haiku poems are 3 line poems. The first line and third line has 5 syllables and the second has 7 syllables.
